The Republic of Ghana is a
Constitutional Parliamentary Democracy. Her
constitution was ratified April 28, 1992.
The capital city is Accra and the
country is divided into 10
regions (Administrative divisions); Ashanti, Brong-Ahafo,
Central, Eastern, Greater Accra, Northern, Upper East,
Upper West, Volta, and the Western.
Ghana was a
colony of Great Britain until March 6, 1957 when she was
given her independence.
